ABOUT
The Aaron Burr House Bed and Breakfast is a newly renovated Victorian beauty located one block from the vibrant center of New Hope, PA in historic Bucks County. Stay where Aaron Burr fled to after he killed Hamilton! Winner of the Best In Bucks Happening List: Bed-and-Breakfast 2021! Each room at the inn has a distinct personality, and features antiques, private bathrooms, air conditioners, color cable TV, free Wi-Fi connection and free on-site parking. AAA award winner. Conveniently located on the express bus line from New York City; midway between NYC and Philadelphia and 3 hours from Baltimore/DC Metro area. Open year round. We have secure parking for bikes, and a small bar. Cooking classes, brunches, and dinners are available upon request.
We've recently added a coffee bar on the first floor. There are coffee, espresso, tea, and ice machine; as well as, sparkling water available in a refrigerator.

We will cook vegan meals upon request. Special occasion cakes for an additional fee.
**We have a two night minimum on the weekends, but ONE NIGHT stays during the week (Monday-Thursday) can be accommodated! Just send us an email or call 215-862-2343**

There will be no breakfast served on Thanksgiving, Christmas Day & New Years Day

We have one pet friendly room, Schulyer, that has its own separate entrance in case other guests are uncomfortable with dogs. There is a $25 pet fee.

January 10-12, 2022 French Cooking Immersion at the Aaron Burr House, New
Hope PA:
​
Stay at the Aaron Burr House in New Hope, PA and join former Gourmet
Magazine Food Editor Shelley Wiseman for 3 days of French Cooking . You can
arrive at any time after 2:00 and settle in or go out for lunch in New Hope
or Lambertville. Join Shelley if you like for a trip to the local orchard
at 2. For our first class from 3 to 5pm we will Make *Boeuf Bourguignon,
Salad, and delve into pastry dough.* We will break from our preparations
from 5 to 6 for a welcome cocktail then sit down to eat the dinner we have
prepared, including an* Apple-Calvadoes Tart, *BYOB.
Tuesday after a 9 am continental breakfast, those who choose will go the
the market with Shelley to choose the ingredients for the classes. Our
morning session will be about 11 to 2, including lunch; we will prepare
*Brioche* for Wednesday's Brunch Class and Make a light Lunch of *Quiche
and Salad*. Explore the town for antiques and art if you like in the
afternoon. We will resume at 4 to prepare an elegant dinner of *Celery Root
Soup, Seared Duck with Four Peppercorn Sauce, Roasted Diced Potatoes, and a
Chocolate Truffle Tart*.
Wednesday is flea market day if anyone would like to go early After 9 am
coffee or tea, we will resume at about 10 to make a French Brunch of *Pains
aux Raisins *with the Brioche dough, Individual *Omelets,* and *Fruit
Mimosas*. The day ends at about 2pm so feel free to explore further before
check out at 2:00 pm.
Cost for the package is ($700 cooking/4 meals + tk 2 nights at the Aaron
Burr House.

COVID Update:
In our efforts to keep our guests as safe as possible, we have instituted the following procedures:
We are thoroughly disinfecting with bleach. A new, larger reception area has been created.
Masks should be worn in all common areas.
A separate coffee room has been created. All amenities will be available upon request (shampoo, shower gel, iron, tissues, hair dryers, chocolates).
Hand sanitizer is in common areas.
White comforters have been put in every room and they will be washed after every guest leaves.

OUR ROOMS
Each one of our beautiful rooms has its own distinct decor and personality. We have a room for every mood! There are suites available on the property that are perfect if you are traveling with family or friends. The Theodosia suite is a king size room with a fireplace, flatscreen TV, and bathroom with a soaking tub. For an additional fee, the person booking the Theodosia suite may rent the queen or single rooms on the same floor for an additional charge. Please call for the additional rooms.

You are in for a TREAT! Your host, Lisa Pretecrum, is a graduate of the acclaimed Ballymaloe Cookery School in East Cork, Ireland. She works with local farms to bring you the best and freshest ingredients. Her breakfasts are gorgeous, and more importantly, delish!
Garden
The Aaron Burr House B&B has a cozy back yard, complete with a fire table and an adorable screen porch. Guests can relax and enjoy a lovely private outdoor space right in the middle of New Hope.

Our area is wonderful for exploring and discovering on your own, but if you would like, we can help to arrange all kinds of adventures. Think winery tours, searching for chanterelles, horseback riding, walking tours of Princeton, NYC, Philly, hikes to waterfalls...the sky is the limit.

The New Hope/Lambertville area is foodie heaven! There are fantastic restaurants to suit every taste. We are also home to wineries, distilleries, and several award-winning breweries. Your host, Lisa, can recommend the perfect place for any occasion.
History
We are not the "room where it happened," but we are the place to which Aaron Burr fled after his famed duel with Alexander Hamilton. This area is steeped in history - Washington crossed the Delaware here! This town and county are filled with historical sites and gorgeous colonial architecture.
The Great Outdoors
Looking for some nature? We are located along the beautiful Delaware River! You can walk or bike for miles on the Towpath, hike in Washington Crossing State Park, climb Bowman's Tower or go kayaking. Tubing down the river is available during warm weather. There are countless outdoor adventures to explore.
Shopping
New Hope is a shopper's paradise! Top notch antique shops, boutiques, and galleries abound. We are also just a few miles from the quaint shops of Peddler's Village. There is something for every taste.

The Arts
Our town is proud of its reputation as an artistic haven. It is filled with galleries, music venues and theaters. We are home to the historic Bucks County Playhouse and minutes away from the famed Michener and Mercer Museums. Go from fancy to funky by just walking down the street.
